Our first Survivor Vocabulary prefix has been voted off! The word that students decided to eliminate is (drum roll please!)...
EN-/EM-
While students had strong arguments for the other prefixes learned in the month of September, many students thought "en-/em" was too complex for 6th graders. This is because there are two prefixes to learn with the same meaning. The strong argument, plus the high number of students who voted this word off, caused this word to be eliminated from our list completely.
I'm hoping in the next coming months during our vote-off, that students can become judges! Stay tuned for October's vote off...
