Classroom Library Organization
Students worked hard to organize our classroom library! First, they listed literary genres. Then, they delved into the books to divide them between each genre. In groups, they created subtopics for their genre. And finally, they created bin cards consisting of the following items: genre and subtopic explanation, genre symbol, and example titles. They really took ownership of this task and contributed to the classroom library! The final task is for them to take inventory and decide what our library needs are and what books need to be purchased.
World Cultures Fair Photos
Students worked for a month designing, creating, and organizing a project about their assigned country. They came up with directions to the project, requirements, and discussed how they wanted to be assessed. At the end, they created a fair, where students set up booths and interactive games and lessons to share with parents and the entire school. Below is a glimpse of the fair. More photos are shared via Schoology, so check with your child to view the virtual fair! Later in the year, students will become Model UN delegates for these countries. Enjoy :).
